Who We Are
Rock Communications LLC ("Rock Communications," "we," "us," or "our") operates an SMS notification program ("FleetTalk Alerts") used to send operational text message alerts to our employees and to technical contacts designated in writing by customer agencies that subscribe to our land mobile radio network services. Messages include network outage notifications, maintenance windows, service restoration status, scheduling notices, and other operational communications. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect the personal information associated with that program.
Information We Collect
We collect the following information from individuals who enroll in our SMS alert program:
- Name
- Mobile phone number
- Consent records (the date, time, and manner in which you opted in)
How You Enroll
Enrollment is limited to pre-authorized recipients. Rock Communications maintains a list of authorized mobile numbers consisting of our own staff and technical contacts designated by subscribing customer agencies. An authorized recipient enrolls by texting the keyword ALERTS to our program number from the mobile number they wish to enroll. Numbers that are not on the authorized recipient list cannot enroll and will not receive messages. Upon successful enrollment you will receive a confirmation message identifying Rock Communications LLC and describing the program.
How We Use Your Information
We use your mobile phone number solely to send you work-related text message alerts and notifications. We do not use this information for advertising or marketing purposes.
No Sharing of Mobile Information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of information described above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with, or sold to, any third parties. Mobile phone numbers collected for the SMS program are used only to deliver the messages described in this policy, and may be processed by our SMS service provider strictly as necessary to deliver those messages on our behalf.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies depending on operational needs. You may receive several messages per week, with occasional additional messages during urgent or time-sensitive situations.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Any charges are billed by, and payable to, your mobile carrier according to your mobile service plan.
Opting Out
You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you opt out, you will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. For assistance, reply HELP to any message or contact us using the information below.
Data Security and Retention
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we collect. We retain your mobile number and consent records only for as long as you are enrolled in the program or as required for legal and record-keeping purposes.
